Matthaei Botanical Gardens

June 13, 2013

GardenGateIn Ann Arbor Michigan is one the most beautiful Gardens. The cultivated and nurtured Formal Display Gardens is a wonderful place. So many different Plants & Flowers to observe. And the setting in the Display Garden is simply beautiful in itself.

On the grounds there are also a series of well groom Nature Trails. Fleming Creek meanders through the Nature area, and there are many different Plants & Flowers to see here as well as much wildlife. Dix Pond at the far end of the Nature area is a quite and peaceful spot to stop on your Trails journey.

The Gardens are operated by the University of Michigan, which also takes care of the Nichols Arboretum as well. There are Programs running regularly and admission is free. It is a wonderful place to spend the entire day walking, sitting in the Formal Gardens and taking part in one of the many scheduled Programs on the grounds.
