Indian Spring HIKE Reviewed

May 20, 2012

Wonderful Nature kinda day. Lots of wild flowers, plants and critters along the Trails. Kim did an excellent job at leading this Hike in one of her favorite parks. 🙂

The Group headed directly to the lake and the headwaters of the Huron river. It was pretty Cool to pass over the actual river near the end of the Hike, and seen how it had grown to be a small stream by this point.

The FEN was in it’s early stages at this season. The Picher plants where very small and the many different FEN flowers where not even in bloom yet. We did find a single Ladys Slipper though. Just beautiful!

We also came across a Milk snake on the Trail and a number of not so common flowers and plants. Still trying to ID all of these. A very Cool nature Hike in the Nature area at Indian Springs.
