Wetzel State Park – Autumn Olive Pull

October 17, 2011

This Saturday, 10/22/11, at 9am-1pm, we will be joining the FRIENDS of Wetzel State Recreation area, in their second invasive species removal. The Autumn Olive is a very fast growing species that will quickly take over an area.

The FRIENDS group has worked very hard, for many years to make this only state Park in Macomb county, a beautiful place. Come on out and see just what they have accomplished and lend a hand at invasive species clearing.

The FRIENDS will be feeding us after the Pull, with a Hot-Dog Lunch. Those still up for it afterwards, we will take a short Hike to Coon Creek in the Park.
