Seven Lakes HIKE Reviewed

October 17, 2011

It was pouring rain in the morning, on Saturday. But that cleared out, dried up and the sun came out, on and off for our Hike. Chris led the group from the Dickenson Lake parking area, over to the Big Seven lake boat launch. About a six mile Hike.

What is great about Seven Lakes is the variety of terrain and environments there. Rolling hills, hardwoods, Pine forests, Meadows, Lake shores and FENs. Many different plants and Trees through out the Park.

We munched on some wild Grapes, examined a newly found Black Gum tree, and enjoyed the rolling hills of the Park. We pretty much had this part of the Park to ourselves for the afternoon. Surprising how quickly the morning rain had dried up. No wet trails at all.

Another outstanding Hike at Seven Lakes State Park. Dan took many pictures on the Hike, and those are what makes up the slide-show below. Nice shots Dan!
