Spring Wild Flower HIKE….Reviewed

April 26, 2010

Our 4/24/10 Wild Flowers Hike at Bald Mountain Recreation area was a grand time. We had about 25 people who gambled on not getting rained on, and gambled correctly. No rain for us and the wind even stopped. Lots of wild flowers along the trail and at the Creek. We even had time to go off trail and visit the largest natural Spring in the Park, near the Creek bridge.

Took alot of pictures, which you can see at our FLICKR site and link on this page. Some very versed people showed up for the Hike, which meant there was plenty of information on flowers, mushrooms and the environment for everyone to participate in. I love these kinds of hikes, when there are so many different and diverse individuals there, and everyone is willing to share what they know. We had a great afternoon!
